Meet our founder
Mary Ruppe Nash
Founding Embassy Row Consulting was born out of Mary’s own experience growing up as the daughter of an Ambassador and a U.S. Congressman. Having lived abroad for much of her life, Mary understands the unique challenges people face when moving to a new country. Drawing on her extensive experience working in hospitality and protocol at the Lillehammer (Norway) and Atlanta Olympic Games she recognizes the need for personalized service and discretion vis-a-vis her clients.
Having spent six years overseeing admissions at a prestigious independent school in Washington, and parenting three children who attended independent schools in DC, she is highly knowledgeable about the educational and extracurricular landscape from nursery through high school. She also provides college counseling, with a special emphasis on students applying to universities in the UK and Canada.
Since founding ERC in 2018, Mary has amassed a large portfolio of clients in Washington, DC, and abroad, including corporate entities and international diplomats and their families. Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Duke University and a Master of Arts in International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
Mary is a member of the Independent Education Consultants Association (IECA), the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), and the International Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC).
